LAWNMOWER
The tinwork on modern lawnmowers is extremely flimsy. Just a simple pressing, similar in thickness to car wings. And just like car wings, extremely prone to corrosion. One day, I pulled my mower out, lit my pipe, put on my flat cap, and got ready to mow the lawn. However, to my consternation, when I yanked the string to "Fire-It-Up", the whole engine, complete with blade, detatched itself and flew across the lawn as if it had a mind of its own, almost causing me to say "Blast".
Not wanting to waste a good engine, I rebuilt the bodywork. Here's a list of what I used. It now pushes easier and cuts closer.
(1) Briggs & Stratton engine and blade. Lawnmower handle.
(2) Child's Scooter.
(3) Wife's Shopping Basket (on wheels)
(4) Wood.
Assembly instructions.
(A)Chase the engine around the garden and switch it off. Be very careful and wear safety goggles.
(B)Cut the front off a child's scooter, making sure the child doesn't catch you.
(C)Nick the wheels off the wife's shopping basket, also making sure she doesn't catch you(D) Assemble these components onto some wood.

Handy tip; Make a small grass-deflector, as wet grass will short out the sparking plug (see close-up)
