Sorry for the lack of recent updates. Been a bit busy, what with nipping over to Thailand, and working all hours God sends to complete the dry build….and completed it is, at long last. Today’s Monday May 15th, and it’s got to be finished by the end of the month, as its debut is at the BogSmashers ball (see Silly Stuff) on June 2nd. Bugger….I’ve got just over two weeks to strip it, finish-weld a few bits, mould the frame (there’s a lot to do), get other parts powder-coated, paint the frame, tank, mudguards and leccy box in metalflake, do the airbrush work, laquer it, re-assemble and wire it. Gonna be a close one, and involve two weeks of very long days!
I overshot my budget long ago, but I just got a helping hand. I took the completed bare-metal bike to Aerocoat to see Adam, the proprietor, and try and beg some discount. He took one look at it and offered to sponsor me for the lot! Aerocoat are, in my opinion, the BEST powdercoaters in the UK. That’s why they’re on my “Links” page. They do a chrome finish that is so good you have to look closely to see that it’s actually paint!

Well, I’d better get off now, and pull it to bits (it’s 3.30am)! Expect quite a lot of updates as I take you through the painting process and re-assembly.
